The trailer for the new dark comedy from the Burns Brothers, "Hell Hath No Fury," starring Leah N.H. Philpott ("A Thousand Little Cuts") and Jacob Snovel ("Agnes"), debuts online today, along with the film's first run of festival dates. "Hell Hath No Fury" is a dark comedy about a married couple who separately and unknowingly plan to murder each other on the same fateful night. Produced by Planet Thunder Productions and written by Jacob Leighton Burns ("Shifter," "Electric Nostalgia"), "Hell Hath No Fury" is the feature length directorial debut of Zachary Burns. Article below. -- Latest film from ”Agnes“ and ”Climate of the Hunter“ filmmaker Mickey Reece will debut at Fantasia International Film Festival Set in 1994, COUNTRY GOLD follows Troyal Brux, an up-and-coming country singer who is invited by country music legend George Jones for a night on the town in Nashville - the night before George is to be cryogenically frozen. Film festival favorite Mickey Reece (“Agnes”) is back with another genre-bending character piece, “Country Gold,” and TheWrap has an exclusive look at the first trailer for the film. Described as a “surrealist comedy by way of a music film,” “Country Gold” takes place in 1994, starring Reece as an up-and-coming country singer who is invited by country music legend George Jones (Ben Hall) for a night on the town in Nashville – the night before George is to be cryogenically frozen. Of course, as with most of Reece’s films — “Country Gold” is his 29th feature — he doesn’t come at the genre angle straight on, and the teaser promises something a bit more unexpected, quiet and character-focused than the sci-fi shenanigans that the synopsis might spring to mind. Mystery thriller "Prisoner of Love" from director Lindsay Hartley debuted last night on the Lifetime Network. The movie follows an 18-year-old girl who begins dating a charming 50-year-old man who treats her to shopping sprees and fancy restaurants, creating a huge rift with her mother. Mom’s instincts become true when the man turns the girl into an emotional prisoner in his mansion. The clip above features Leah N.H. Philpott as Sandra Lopez on the warpath to rescue her daughter from Brent (Ryan Francis, "Hook") and Kyle (James Hyde, "Passions"). The film stars Hyde, Francis, and Katie Kelly ("Sno Babies").
