FANGORIA Exclusive Reveal: HELL HATH NO FURY Trailer Takes “Til Death Do Us Part” Seriously

FANGORIA Exclusive Reveal: HELL HATH NO FURY Trailer Takes “Til Death Do Us Part” Seriously

Even with the best of intentions, the holidays can be a frustrating time for everyone. You’re shoved together with practically every living relative you’ve ever heard of, you’re trussed up in uncomfortable fancy clothing, and everyone's asking about when you’re going to get a promotion, or a new girlfriend, or finally move out of your mom’s house. Tensions are high, so it’s no surprise the couple in HELL HATH NO FURY — which FANGORIA is excited to debut the trailer for — wants to kill each other, and not just metaphorically.  The new trailer starts off like a Hallmark movie, those cheesy romances that your mom and aunt love to watch when the holidays roll around. A happy couple seems like the picture-perfect romance off a Christmas card, all smiles and immaculately pressed clothing like some kind of caricature. But it turns out that their lives aren’t so perfect after all — each harbors a deadly secret, and they’ve both chosen hired killers to take their beloved out of the picture. The only catch? They both decide to do the deed on Christmas Eve, because of course. The film stars Leah N.H. Philpott and Jacob Ryan Snovel as the not-so-happy couple, alongside Adam Hampton, Clinton Joseph, Ashley Mandanas, and Ben Hall. The film is directed by Zachary Burns, with a script from Jacob Leighton Burns, both of whom produce alongside Vinnie Hogan and Beth M. Alonso. This isn’t the only Christmas slasher hitting our screens this year, either. We’ve obviously got the massively successful TERRIFIER 3 playing in theaters as we speak, but in the long-held tradition of films like BLACK CHRISTMAS and SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT, the Santa-themed splatterfest HE SEES YOU WHEN YOU'RE SLEEPING is also set to hit digital and on demand platforms next week. So if you’re looking to traumatize your family members by suggesting something a little more interesting than a yule log this year, I’d say you’re pretty set.  HELL HATH NO FURY premieres on November 8. The Wrap: "Country Gold" Teaser Spends a Surreal Night in Nashville

The Wrap: "Country Gold" Teaser Spends a Surreal Night in Nashville

Today The Wrap debuted the trailer for Mickey Reece's upcoming surrealist comedy "Country Gold," starring Reece, Ben Hall, Leah N.H. Philpott, and R. Dustin Sanchez. Article below. -- Latest film from ”Agnes“ and ”Climate of the Hunter“ filmmaker Mickey Reece will debut at Fantasia International Film Festival Set in 1994, COUNTRY GOLD follows Troyal Brux, an up-and-coming country singer who is invited by country music legend George Jones for a night on the town in Nashville - the night before George is to be cryogenically frozen. Film festival favorite Mickey Reece (“Agnes”) is back with another genre-bending character piece, “Country Gold,” and TheWrap has an exclusive look at the first trailer for the film. Described as a “surrealist comedy by way of a music film,” “Country Gold” takes place in 1994, starring Reece as an up-and-coming country singer who is invited by country music legend George Jones (Ben Hall) for a night on the town in Nashville – the night before George is to be cryogenically frozen. Of course, as with most of Reece’s films — “Country Gold” is his 29th feature — he doesn’t come at the genre angle straight on, and the teaser promises something a bit more unexpected, quiet and character-focused than the sci-fi shenanigans that the synopsis might spring to mind. Watch the teaser trailer above and soak up the strange vibes. Co-written by Reece with his regular collaborator John Selvidge (“Climate of the Hunter”), the film was produced by Kassie Gann (“Chicken House”), and executive produced by former Blumhouse and Divide/Conquer alum Zac Locke and Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness curator Peter Kuplowsky. “Country Gold” will world premiere at Fantasia International Film Festival, which runs from July 14 to August 3 in Montreal.
